Wrexham town guide
Wrexham is on the border of North Wales and England, near to all the attractions of Chester and the Clwyd Hills.
This is a wonderfully diverse area of mountains and valleys, near to the wildlife haven of the River Dee estuary.
Hiring a car from here will allow you access to Loggerheads Country Park or to Erdigg - a National trust Property - where you can get an insight into a vanished way of life on a country estate.
Nearby is Llangollen, a little town in the hills, full of attractions. Ride the steam railway or cruise on a horse-drawn boat along the very pretty Llangollen Canal. A must see in this area is the Pontcysyllte viaduct carrying the canal high across the river. Walk across this monument to the industrial revolution only if you have a head for heights!
