Yeovil is a busy town, headquarters of Westland Aircraft (Europe's largest helicopter manufacturing company).
In rolling, fertile land, the Romans settled here .It was once an important livestock cattle market town with leather and dairying industries.
The old centre of this bustling town suffered a great deal from bombing in the Second World War.

The nearby Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton will give you a day to remember - see over 90 aircraft displayed - 40 of them historic aircraft - including Concorde 002 - the first ever British built prototype.
