Humberside town guide
Humberside International Airport is located to the south of the river Humber, a few miles inland almost at the end of the M180 Motorway. The airport is conveniently situated for the towns of Grimsby, Doncaster and Scunthorpe as well as the cities of Kingston upon Hull and Lincoln.
Given its proximity to the motorway network it is easily reached by hire car or conversely is a convenient location from which to rent a car to visit the surrounding area.
Although much of the south bank of the Humber is given over to industry with great steel works and chemical plants much in evidence, it is not far to more delightful countryside such as that around Lincoln, York or the Lincolnshire Coast.
As one of the great rivers of England the visitor could not fail be impressed with the Humber Estuary and the engineering marvel that is the Humber Bridge, for a time the longest single span suspension bridge in the world.
Humberside International Airport offers flights to a variety of destinations by scheduled carrier as well as holiday flights to many other destinations in Europe and the Atlantic Islands off the African Coast.
